My top is now hard!
Thank god for Craigslist. Actually, thank Craig for Craigslist. Through all that spam looking for car parts, i managed to find this newly relocated 23 year-old Asian kid from North Atlanta, Georgia posting on Craigslist about parting out all his aftermarket parts which included: Carbon Fiber topsecret style hood ($250), CF Mugen Style hardtop with oem hardtop kit ($1300), Tein Flex coilovers ($300 with stocks), Airwalker side skirts ($50), Comptech Supercharger ($1200), and a bunch of other stuff.
He asked me to meet him in some Downtown parking lot at night. As i was driving there, it was hella dodgy! when i entered the parking lot, i saw 5 guys just gutting the engine parts away! I parked in a spot where i could get away just in case something went down. But then I came to realize that they were removing the supercharger and the others were just watching. The guy was pretty cool. Turns our this guy got 2 speeding tickets on his way to california and also got his license suspended. He wanted to get some cash quick so that bank can repo his car to then eventually get a bike. I checked out the parts and decided to pick up the sideskirts and hardtop for $1200 flat. the guy even threw in a Rick's shift knob! gotta love craigslist, taking advantage of people's unfortunately situations.
pictures coming soon!

wheel swap
on the S2ki forums, i found a guy selling 2 front silver enkei RPF1s for $200 to complete my set! what a deal i thought. so i was rolling on them for a couple of weeks but i kinda wish they were gold. the silvers' were just too blah for me.. again, using work time to surf s2ki forums, i found another guy from skunk2. he had golds and want silvers. his golds were a couple of weeks old where my silvers were raced on many times!! i managed to directly swap with him! again! what a deal!
us at tire central. he had the kraftwerks supercharger! damn!

with the golds on! oh wee!

new front pads, brake lines, fluid, and painted calipers
started 8/25 finished 8/31 lol!! @38,xxx miles
it's nice having room in your garage to do work!

new goodridge g-stop brake lines all around (about $80). Black Duplicolor caliper paint kit ($12). Mint front "oem" pads from s2ki forums ($dirty). and new synthetic valvoline brake fluid ($8). my brother and i had to bleed the brakes 4 times to completely remove all the air in the lines. the 4th time we used a power bleeder! with all that work, i probably should have invested in higher performance pads. lol. but i'm happy with my silent, no noise brakes!
